Order Up: Happy 6th Birthday Anthony!

The order:
3 Dozen Chocolate Chip with Vanilla Buttercream
1 Dozen Caramel Apple Pie
2 Dozen Mini Weezy's Carrot Cake

A few weeks ago, we got an email from Kelly letting me know that she was having a magician's theme birthday party for her son Anthony and wanted to know if I had any thoughts about it. I did a few searches and after seeing the invitation, we decided to keep it simple! We went with red and yellow as the color; and then stuck with using hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds from the deck of cards and then yellow stars made of fondant and his name.

Early in the morning, it was time to get to baking! First up were the chocolate chops - they were in and baked. Next up were the caramel apple, then the carrot cake! Everything was left out to cool off and then it was time to make the frostings!

After the frostings - the fondant! YAY! We made red and yellow fondant. After rolling out the fondant, cookie cutters were used to press out the shapes and placed out to dry:

From there, it was time to frost! We swirled vanilla buttercream onto the chocolate chip cupcakes and topped with sprinkles that were blue, yellow, red , gold and silver!
Next up - time to adorn the cupcakes with the fondant!
Boxed up and ready to go!!
I loved the way the letters turned out with the different color backgrounds - what do you think?
Caramel apples and chocolate chips boxed up and ready to go!
Mmmmmm caramel drizzle!!
Happy 6th Birthday Anthony - hope you enjoyed your party, magician and cupcakes! (And the humongous moon bounce!!!)
