Order Up: Happy 2nd Birthday Molly!

The order:
1 Dozen Vanilla Cupcakes

Wow!  So sorry it took so long for me to get this together - I *just* realized that this blog was still in draft mode!  I'm so sorry it took so long!

A few weeks ago, I received an email asking if we could make Elmo cupcakes - which I have to say, Elmo is one of my favorite to make, so of course we were in!  Then it got even better, she wanted 6 Elmo and 6 Cookie Monsters!  Done and done!

Into the kitchen we went, baking away and making frosting so the coloring could set while the cupcakes cooled.  Once they were cool, it was time to assemble!

First up was pipping the "fur" onto the cupcakes!

Once that was finished, the cookies were assembled for the mouths, white chocolate rounds were made into eyes with a little bit of black frosting then placed onto the cupcakes.  Final touch for Elmo was an orange peanut M&M to give him a nose!

Can I just say how I love Cookie's eyes?  Every time I make them and they are crooked I can't help but giggle!  What do you think?

Thank you so much for your order and the pictures, Kathy!  I think Molly likes her cupcakes and hope she had a wonderful time at her party!!

Order Up: Happy Birthday Terri Anne!!

The order:
1 vanilla sampler
1 chocolate sampler

A few days prior to Ter's birthday,  her kids and husband called me to let me know that they were having a surprise birthday party for her and wanted to order some cupcakes! Of course I'll make her cupcakes - I mean she did babysit Steph and I when we were growing up :)

They wanted her to give a variety so they chose the sampler packs!  Into the kitchen we went to make these little pretties!  First baked was the vanilla, then onto the chocolates!  I must say, for having a little quiet time the last few months between orders, it has been REALLY nice to get back into the kitchen and have the cupcakes bake without a hitch!

Here are some pictures of the cupcakes that made their appearance :)

Vanilla and Strawberries and Champagne
Vanilla Sampler (Minus the Cookie Dough)

Boxed up and ready to go!  No matter how many times I see it, I love our logo!

Chocolate Sampler!

Minty Girl Scouts!
Reese's Love and Death by Chocolate!
Happy Happy 40th Birthday Ter - we hope you enjoyed your surprise and had a wonderful birthday!  Love you!

Order Up: Bridal Shower!

The order:
2 dozen Vanilla with Vanilla Buttercream
1 dozen Strawberries and Champagne

A few weeks ago, I received an email from one of our customer's Erin asking if we could make cupcakes for her co-worker's bridal shower.  After checking the schedule I realized that I'd be traveling for "real" work...but then Steph stepped up and was able to make the order!

This order was especially awesome since she requested to have the cupcakes in the shape of a bride's dress :)  We've seen a few of these hanging around on pinterest and were waiting for the right moment to make one...so this was perfect!

Here's a picture of setting the cupcakes up to "look" like a dress :)

Next up was frosting the cupcakes and adding some details so there were no holes...
Final touches of pearl beading and a very pretty brooch!
All boxed up and ready to go!

Congrats to the Mrs. to be and thanks again Erin for your order!

Order Up: Bridal Shower Sweets!

The order:

1 Dozen Reese's Love
1 Dozen Strawberries and Champagne
1 Dozen Oreo Oh
1 Dozen Vanilla

A beautiful collage of all of the shower!

My my my it's been a quiet few months!  A few weeks ago, one of our awesome clients called about cupcakes for her sister in laws bridal shower!  They were doing a sweets table and wanted to include our cupcakes!  After playing phone tag a few times, we got the order down and into the kitchen we went!

It had been a while since we were baking for a customer order, so it felt good to get right back into it!  It was a beautiful day and so happy we had a chance to make these cupcakes!

First up were the oreo, strawberry and vanilla cupcakes into the oven - then the chocolates went in.  Frosting was made while they cooled off and then the fun part of piping the delicious buttercreams and adding the final touches!

Here are some of the beautiful pictures that were shared of the sweets table!
