Order Up: Showers of Happiness!

A friend that works with my mom, Marsha, contacted me about having cupcakes made for her niece's bridal shower. After a few rounds of phone tag we were able to connect, finalize the order and get it on the schedule!

This order was another part of the crazy weekend of orders, but since this was a Friday night shower, it was easy to prepare and have everything ready!

Order Up: Happy 2nd birthday Jaelyn!

The order:
1 dozen vanilla cupcakes
1 Vanilla Sampler

Remember last year when we did a first birthday party that was Dr. Suess' All the Places You Will Go theme? Well Christine contacted us asking if we could make the Elmo's for her daughter, how could we say no?

Into the kitchen we went, vanilla batter was made and cupcakes set to bake in the oven, then it was time to prep all the frostings and decorations while they cooked and then cooled!

First up, we decorated the vanilla sampler, then it was Elmo time! We pipped his red fur and decorated his cute little face!

Everytime I make these little buggers I love them more and more! To end this I'll leave you with a few pictures of the order!

Order Up: Block Party Fun!

The Order:
2 dozen mini Minty Girl Scouts
2 dozen mini Caramel Apple Pie

Donation: 2 dozen mini minty girl scouts and caramel apple pie

As Kelly was placing her orders for her summer events, she let me know that her annual block party was coming up and was letting me know she was placing an order but also asked if I'd be willing to donate cupcakes for their cupcake eating contest, and how could we say no?

We were in! The week leading up the block party, the heat decided to take a huge spike and got REALLY hot! So into the kitchen I went battling the heat to get the cupcakes ready!

The day of the block party I had a brain fart and realized that within a span of 18 hours I booked 4 orders due! Butttt I roughed it out and everyone got their cupcakes! Here's a few pictures from the order! I darkened the 'green' to more of a teal color to go with a summer theme!

Order Up: Happy Father's Day!

The order:

24 Mini Fluffy Elvis

Kelly has been our cupcake order queen lately!  I think I've seen her about 5 times this summer!  SHe got in touch with me a few days before father's day to ask if I could make her an order of the Fluffy Elvis mini's!  Of course!

Into the kitchen I go.  I'm not going to lie - for as delicious as this cupcake is, it's a P.I.T.A to make.  It's about a 6 step process!  Make the batter, bake the cupcake and cool, make the filling, core the cupcakes, fill the cupcakes, make the frosting, frost the cupcakes. 

However, one bite of these little babies and man oh man are they worth it!

Order Up: Happy Family Weekend!

The order:

1 Vanilla Sampler

One of the awesome ladies that works in my office, Cherita, decided that since her mom was going to be visiting, she wanted to order cupcakes for their weekend. Since she's had a sample of the cupcakes that were brought into work, she couldn't decide what she wanted, so she picked the Vanilla Sampler pack - which includes Oreo Oh, Strawberries and Champagne, Vanilla with Vanilla buttercream and Cookie Dough. 

Into the kitchen I went to bake up the little beauties and while they were baking, I made the cookie dough filling to set...only it didn't set.  I went over the recipe, and I know I did everything the way it said but it turned into cookie dough soup - grosssss!

To make up for it, I included a couple extra cupcakes :)  And since I was running around like crazy, I forgot to take pictures that day, so here are some stock photos!

Amy contacted me to order cupcakes for her daughter's upcoming birthday.  After spending a few days playing phone/email tag - we were finally able to discuss what she was thinking and get an order nailed down!  Amy had a taste of our cupcakes when we made this order - so we were ready to make some more cupcakes to enjoy!!

Into the kitchen we went to bake up some yummy cupcakes!  The birthday girl requested colors of red and green sprinkles to top her cupcakes - no problem at all!  Into the oven they went - when they were done, it was time for some frosting, sprinkles and then into a pretty box they went - then off they went to the birthday celebration!

Order Up: Happy Birthday John!

The Order:
1 Dozen Oreo

One of the lovely ladies I work with had a birthday coming up for her son, John, so she decided instead of going with an Acme cake, she wanted to order him cupcakes!  It was a little gathering for her family and some friends!  She mentioned he loved the Giants, so we added some red and blue to the cupcakes!

One of the cool things about this order was that after they were done baking, I frosted them in the morning and was able to bring them into the office and she took them right home and was able to surprise him!
