Order up: Happy 2nd Birthday Elyza!

The order:
18 Cupcakes, 9 Chocolate, 9 Vanilla with buttercream frosting. Decorations were Minnie Mouse.
12 Cupcakes - Assorted Flavors: Strawberries and Champagne(without the alcohol for the little ones), Oreo-Oh-Oh, Reese's Lovin, Red Velvet, and Chub Rub.

Karen called me right after the website was launched and told me she wanted to order cupcakes for Lyza's birthday and wanted them decorated like Minnie Mouse...immediately my mind went into overdrive! YAY - girlie cupcakes! I googled some images and decided that I was going to make some have a ruffly dress, the other would be plain frosted with polka dots. Each one used 2 chocolate discs for the ears and a white chocolate bow. They were SO much fun to decorate.

The other cupcakes - they were also fun, but I learned a lot when making them! Organization needs to be #1 when making multiple types of cupcakes or you run into the "I just made 8 batters for 10 cupcakes...now who is going to eat all the leftovers?!!?" I didn't really have that much left over, but I planned the chocolate perfectly - and OMG the Reese's Lovin' were SO much better this time than the test batch! Chub Rub got rave reviews, and the Strawberries and Champagne were delicious!

I know I say it in almost every post, but I really love making each order - it's so awesome to see it go from separate ingredients, to batter, to these perfect little round creations - then onto decorating them!

So little Ms. Elyza - I hope you had a wonderful 2nd birthday and enjoyed your cupcakes!
