Order up! Kate's Graduation Party

Order up: Kate's Graduation Party

The order:

  • 1 Dozen Vanilla basic

  • 1 Dozen Chocoalte basic

  • 3 Basic Vanilla with chocolate icing

  • 9 Strawberries and Champagne

  • 6 Reese's Love

  • 6 Minty Girl Scouts

  • 6 Weezy's Carrot Cake

  • 6 Fluffy Elvis

Rose, Kate's mom, was the first official email that we received through the website, right after launch wanting to place an order for Kate's graduation from Penn State. To say we were honored is an understatement! Since this was in early April, we had time to wait to plan what we would be doing, how to be decorated, etc. Last week we finalized the order above, and got down to baking on Saturday.

First up, I made the Weezy's Carrot Cake since that took time to prep the ingredients, once they hit the oven, next up were the Fluffy Elvis! After that was complete, it was time to make vanilla and chocolate to finish out the baking. The house still smells yummy today from all the aroma's of baking!
As the cupcakes cooled, it was time to prep the icings and decorations. Since there were premium cupcakes being made, we let those have the standard decorating. On the basics, we added blue sprinkles, to both the chocolate and vanilla, we added graduation duckies! So adorable.

Once all the cupcakes were frosted and decorations adorned, they werere boxed up to be delivered.

Since delivery was in Jersey, I decided to make the delivery myself, AKA Steph was on vacation and since Winston doesn't have his driver's license or thumbs, it was all me! This is about all Winston contributed during the baking:

Once I arrived at Rose's house, Kate and her friend were nice enough to help me unload the cupcakes and before I even got in the door, people were already staking claim to which one they wanted! It was so nice to see Rose and the family and actually get to display my cupcakes :) I truly loved baking this order!

Congratulations Kate and best of luck to you on all your future endeavors!
